Mark Holtsbery is the first artist released through NE6 Music, the creative music label within the New England Connect LLC / NE6™ ecosystem.

His work uses AI-assisted production as part of the creative process, but the point is not to hand the work over to the machine. The point is to direct it, challenge it, shape it, reject what does not work, and turn the result into something with a clear human point of view.

Mark’s music sits at the intersection of digital culture, business systems, creator behavior, AI tools, and modern work. The songs are often funny, direct, and critical, but they are not meant to be throwaway novelty tracks. They are built around real observations: how people use tools, how hype spreads, how claims get made, how shortcuts create consequences, and how proof still matters.

Sound and Direction

Mark Holtsbery’s music moves across dance, electronic, hip-hop, satire, and experimental AI-assisted production.

The sound can be polished, futuristic, club-driven, or darkly comedic depending on the release. Some tracks lean into tech-house and Afro-club-inspired energy. Others use grimier meme-rap, distorted 808s, fake luxury sounds, and satirical hooks.

Across the different styles, the common thread is the same: the music is built around a human idea, not just a generated output.

Creative Process

Mark’s music is AI-assisted, but not AI-abandoned.

Each release begins with a concept, theme, lyric direction, production brief, and creative point of view. AI tools may assist with generation, arrangement, vocals, or sound exploration, but the final direction is shaped by human judgment.

That means the process includes prompting, testing, revising, rejecting weak outputs, refining lyrics, checking meaning, selecting the final version, building the visual identity, and deciding whether the track actually says something worth releasing.

The goal is not to pretend AI was not involved. The goal is to be honest about the process while making sure the final work still has taste, intent, and accountability behind it.

Proof on the Dance Floor is Mark Holtsbery’s first full-length AI-assisted concept album through NE6 Music.

The album explores prompts, hype, false confidence, AI detectors, shortcuts, privacy, proof, creative ownership, and the awkward new rhythm of working with intelligent tools. It uses dance, electronic, club, and satirical production to turn digital culture into something people can actually listen to, share, and move with.

The album is not a lecture about AI. It is a creative response to the way people talk about AI, misuse it, fear it, oversell it, and sometimes forget that human judgment still matters.
